Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how to cancel a TasqPlace subscription, when cancellation takes effect, how automatic renewal works, and how we handle refund requests, billing errors, duplicate charges and disputed payments.
Last updated: 16 August 2026
1. What This Policy Covers
This policy applies to paid TasqPlace subscriptions. It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read together with our Pricing page. TasqPlace is operated under the registered business name TASQPLACE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICE, a sole proprietorship in the Republic of the Philippines.
The TasqPlace free plan costs nothing, requires no payment details and involves no refunds. You can stop using a free workspace at any time, or ask us to delete it.
Nothing in this policy removes or restricts rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you, including the Consumer Act of the Philippines and equivalent consumer protection law in your own country.
2. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel a paid TasqPlace subscription at any time. There is no minimum contract term and no cancellation fee.
You can cancel from inside the application. Sign in, go to Settings → Billing, and choose Cancel subscription. The page then shows the date your paid access runs until, and offers a Keep my subscription option if you change your mind before that date. Only the workspace owner can cancel a subscription for a workspace.
If you would rather we handle it, or you cannot sign in, send a cancellation request from the email address associated with the account to the billing contact in section 12, and include:
- The workspace name
- The email address on the account
- Whether you want to cancel at the end of the current billing period, or also delete the workspace
We confirm emailed cancellations by reply. Your current plan, billable seats and renewal window are shown in the application under Settings → Billing.
Deleting a workspace, removing members, or simply not using TasqPlace does not by itself cancel billing — please cancel in Settings → Billing, or send the cancellation request, so the renewal can be stopped.
3. When Cancellation Takes Effect
Cancelling a subscription prevents it from renewing for another billing period. It is not the same as a refund of a payment already taken.
- You normally keep access to your paid plan until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
- At the end of that period the subscription is not renewed and no further charges are made.
- The workspace then moves to the free plan and free-plan limits apply, or the workspace is closed if you asked us to delete it.
- If a workspace exceeds free-plan limits after cancellation, existing data is retained but new records may be blocked until usage is reduced or a paid plan is restored.
Access may end earlier or differently if a refund changes the service period, if applicable law requires otherwise, if the terms disclosed at checkout for your subscription say something different, or under any other subscription arrangement disclosed to you.
Export anything you need before your paid period ends. See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled after deletion.
4. Automatic Renewal
Where a subscription is sold on a recurring basis, it renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for the plan, until it is cancelled. The billing period, renewal date and price are disclosed before purchase and at checkout, and your renewal window is shown in the application under Settings → Billing. TasqPlace subscriptions are billed monthly in US dollars; annual billing is not currently offered.
To avoid being charged for a renewal, send your cancellation request before the renewal date. If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you before the new price is charged so that you can cancel first if you prefer.
5. Refund Requests
Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Eligibility may depend on factors including the reason for the request, the billing circumstances, the status of the subscription, the extent to which the service has been used, and the rights available to you under applicable law. TasqPlace does not currently advertise a fixed voluntary money-back period; this does not restrict any mandatory refund or cancellation right you have under consumer law.
To request a refund, email us from the address on the account and include the workspace name, the date and amount of the charge, the transaction or receipt reference from your receipt, and the reason for the request.
How we handle requests:
- We review every request individually and reply by email with a decision and the reason for it.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. How quickly the refund appears depends on your bank or card issuer and typically takes several business days.
- Duplicate charges and charges caused by a billing error on our side are corrected in full, regardless of any other consideration in this section — see sections 6 and 7.
- We may decline a request where the account has breached our Terms of Service, or where the request is inconsistent with the circumstances above, unless the law requires otherwise.
6. Billing Errors
If you believe you were charged the wrong amount, charged for the wrong plan, charged after a confirmed cancellation, or charged tax incorrectly, tell us as soon as you notice it. We will review the transaction with our payment provider and, where the charge was incorrect, refund or adjust the difference in full. We will also correct the underlying subscription so the error does not repeat.
7. Duplicate Charges
If you were charged more than once for the same subscription period, contact us with the dates and amounts of the charges and the receipt references. Once confirmed, the duplicate charge is refunded in full to the original payment method.
Note that a pending authorization from a retried payment attempt can look like a second charge and often clears on its own. If you are unsure, contact us and we will check the transaction record.
9. Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails — for example because a card has expired, has insufficient funds, or is declined — the payment may be retried and you will normally be notified so the payment method can be updated.
If payment still cannot be collected, the paid subscription may be suspended and the workspace moved to reduced or free-plan functionality until the amount due is paid. Workspace data is not deleted because of a failed payment. If you no longer want the subscription, please cancel it as described in section 2 rather than allowing the payment to fail.
10. Billing Disputes and Chargebacks
If something about a charge looks wrong, contacting us first is usually the fastest way to resolve it — we can often correct or refund a charge more quickly than a bank dispute can be processed. If a chargeback or payment dispute is raised with your bank or card issuer, the subscription may be suspended while the dispute is investigated, and we will provide the transaction and account records needed to resolve it.
11. Paddle-Processed Transactions
TasqPlace uses Paddle for subscription billing. For transactions processed through Paddle, Paddle acts as an authorized reseller and Merchant of Record: it handles order processing and payment, collects and remits any sales tax or VAT that applies, issues your receipt or invoice, and administers refunds and chargebacks for that transaction. A Paddle-processed charge may appear on your statement under Paddle's name rather than ours.
For those transactions, TasqPlace decides whether a refund is approved under section 5, and the refund itself is issued through Paddle to the original payment method. Questions about how a payment was processed, the tax charged at checkout, or a copy of your invoice can also be raised with Paddle using the receipt they sent you. Purchases through Paddle are additionally subject to Paddle's buyer terms, shown at checkout.
